Tiny Rio Puerco trail run (big pics)

Here are a few shots from a run a friend (in the Ranger) and I took a few miles west of town in the Rio Puerco Valley. There are some good rocks and tons of sand. The post is a llittle lacking in action shots.. sorry.

My fav from the trip.

Pic from the same trail with the same friend, just a little older (notice no turn signals)

What kind of front bumper are you running? I've been looking around for a new one to match the MC rear and I really like yours.

Looks like a fun trip

Its a Dave'z offroad piece. I think the one he made for mine was the only non-body lift 2nd gen front bumper he's done so far, but now that he has a model, I'd say hit him up for some price and build time info. He's also making this style with a stinger which looks amazing. check it out at http://www.davezoffroadperformance.com/forum/.

Thanks! I'll post up here a week or so in advance of my next trip out there so I can snag a couple of ABQ YTers if they want to go.

Robb,

We usually start from Southern Ave where all the motocrossers hang out. If I have the time I'll go up to Bernalillo and take Idalia Rd. out, but that's usually out of my way. I'll def. post up at least a week in advance of my next run.

I've been around for a long time. I am more of a mountain biker than a fourwheeler but I would like to do some easier stuff.

I wheel my DD, so I try to stay out of trouble too, and the people I usually go with have less capable rigs than I do, so that keeps me on the easier stuff. I need to get out with some Yotas.

We're about 3 hours from Farmington If I remember correctly. I missed the TTORA Takeover up there in '07, but hope to make the '08 Takeover, it's nearly all 'Yotas. If you're ever in the neighborhood drop a PM. I'm almost always up for a wheel.

Hey...New Mexico dudes....

Off subject a bit but I used to spend a lot of time in ABQ and Catron County. Have you guys ever wheeled in the Gila National Forest?

Keep the pictures coming!! I miss New Mexcio!

Oh yeah...one more thing. On the east side of the mountain on I-40 I have noticed a bunch of likely places to go off road. You guys ever been out that way?

Hey!

I like to go out to Tijeras and play around on the Cedro Peak trails. I know there are more places, but property out there is being fenced off so fast I can't keep track.

Hey dude...off subject again...but how do you like that Aussie Locker? Is it the kind that will lockup when making a 90 degree turn on the pavement? Does it click and chatter like a Detroit locker?

Thanks!

Hey, I was procrastinating this aftternoon and let a buddy talk me into going back to the Puerco valley for a few hours. I took an arroyo that got really narrow really fast and got stuck once. I did get to to use the new Smittybilt winch though. It was a fun day, but a little depressing seeing all the burned out stolen cars. I've got a few low-res pics for now. Enjoy.

Digging a little bit, looks like a BFG Ad.

**I got the high-res photos last night. They're posted up a few posts down.**
