there were about 14 rigs on the trail clean up, mostly jeeps. but only the yota owners wanted to run slickrock. yeah i almost didnt make it, the group decided that everyone who was going met in tracy so there was no reason to stop at angels camp. (not knowing i was going to show up) so i waited at the burger king for about 30 mins and figured i would just go up that way hoping that i could see them along the way, (while thinking in my head i have a better chance of finding a needle in a haystack) as i am driving up i see a forest service ranger pull out onto the highway about 2 cars ahead of me wiht a dirtbike in the back, and i remembered reading somehwere that the rangers usually come out and help with the clean up, so i decided i would follow him. once he turned off hw4 on the the side road, i figured no this isnt right there are houses on both sides, this isnt the way to a 4x4 trail... so just before i was about to turn around and go home i figured i would flag him down and ask. and sure enough he was going to the trail head, so i followed him there, the group showed up about 30 mins later, they had some delay somewhere along the way... so i ended up finding the needle in the haystack after all, and everything worked out

Yep, that is one problem going on runs with Jeeps. One that was flat towed was not able to start, so we stopped for parts along the way. Did not fix the problem, so that was a waste of time. One of the other Jeep driver's (Joe) rig would not start, so he took his daily driver Cherokee and did not want to take it to Slick Rock.
Was happy with the way the 33x10.50 BFGs worked (on the rear axle). First trip on them and they seem to grip quite well. Just chirped a little bit on the long slick rock climb.
