Slaughterhouse Gulch

Ric, Mayhem, and I ran Slaughterhouse Gulch today. Its a fairly easy trail, but it was just something fun to do for the weekend. I had some problems with my steering and 4WD afterwords. I need to get it checked out sometime this week.

On the start of the trail we ran into a Chevy off the trail, at first we couldn't figure out what happened, beer was inside so we had a guess. We ran into the kids who had the chevy later on the trail and asked ric to help pull them out. Jeepers were taking care of it when we got there. Turns out they were going down late at night and meant to turn off on a side trail about 5 feet further down. He put a huge dent in the side of the bed, and who knows what else. Anyways it turns out he was buying the truck from his boss, but could only afford half so the kid is going to have to give the truck back to his boss in a couple of days... As we were leaving one of the kids points to rics rig and says, "your tire...". Ric told them it was aired down, the kids looked confused... that entertained us for a good while.

I will post my photos tomorrow since I forgot my digi....

it was a simple run but close enough so that gas wouldn't be an issue. I have some photos of the Slow 1-0 geting pulled out by the jeeps.....

if you run that trail in the spring are there any passable river/stream crossings?
looks like you are going through a washout in one of the pics.

Yeah Kyle got stuck in the mud there before it can be over a foot deep or so depending on when you hit it...

This was my last run there, at the beginning of the summer. I'm sure it gets a lot deeper then this.
