RiverRock 3/17-3/19

Got back from River Rock... Didnt get any pictures...but found some posted elsewhere...HERE Page 17-19 are the Toyota rigs that I wheeled with.

It was Brett (dragr1) in his 3rd gen, myself in my 85, and 2 cruisers FJ80's Eric (Grey/silver) and Mark (dk green).

I know Brett got some good photo's and some video.

Marc, I dropped you a cd in the mail today with the video and pics!

Too bad the camera battery died halfway through day one and we didn't take it on Sunday-what was I thinking? Most of the best stuff we have no pics or video of! :pat:

From the pics Marc posted, our group is on pages 17, 18, and 19. dang, only one pic of me-I knew I went up that obstacle too fast! For reference, the pics of those 2 FJ80's are from the obstacle that I'm on except the pics are taken from the other direction.

Whoa, Marc I just noticed that these guys were on the All Pro Ride with us at Guardrail and Helipad.

It is a good time. Especially when they have events there. The next one is June 23rd-25th. Tons of trucks. Reminds me of Woodstock for trucks when you see the field of campsites and rigs.

No pictures of our group on the RR page-big surprise there.

Will, it is a great place, really fun. Not so fun in the dead of summer though b/c the no-see-ums are horrible there.

Sounds like I need to make a trip down there. Maybe in the Fall.
Haw many times have you been there Brett?

I'd like some additional feedback on what you guys thought of this ORV park.

Does it have potential for SE4RJ4 (2007)? If we rented an ORV park we could pick our dates to suit us and ride when we want to (not a bunch of traffic).

Just getting a jump start on next year.

Thanks!

It definitely has good potential...but I may be a bit partial due to the fact it is 1hr or so away. But ... I have been there ALL 4 of thier large main events and each time it is better and better. This place has the space, electricity, water, (NO sewer though) bathhouse, showers, lights, large firepit area, ect.. The park is filled with trails with easy(moderate) to extreme.

What do you mean "NO sewer"? You have to find a large tree or bush?

I've been twice and loved it both times-just don't go in the dead of summer. You can rent the park for exclusive runs. It has a huge area for camping, massive area for a bonfire, stage, rock garden, mudpit, some RV hookups-no sewer, newly finished bathrooms and showers. It has a great variety of trails, but is really nothing like Tellico, but I like it all the same. You're never far from camp. Renting the park for an exclusive event would be best.

Do I hear Yotatech Fall Colors Run?

I keep hearing great stuff about this place as well. Wasn't there another park up in Central Tennessee that opened too?

I think the idea of a place like this is much superior for a big event like the SE4RJ, never being far from camp works out nice for people, go out run some trails or it may be better to describe them as obstacles, come back, eat lunch, go back out in the afternoon.

Wheelin' In the Country Is in Summertown TN. I don't know how new it is though. It's about the closest park to me...I haven't been yet, but If I do, I'll post about it.
