Wes the new fj was unbelievable. i will be sasing the 4runner soon, but i may take it out one more time with ifs......i like to see the faces. You gonna get some bumpstops soon?

Yeah, I'm gonna get some bumpstops when I get a chance. I need to make a few other adjustments as well. Can't wait til next trip.

I'll be at Grey Rock the weekend of the 14th if anyone else wants to come and ride again. I have very few pics and a few videos, but I'm using my wife's laptop right now b/c my hard drive and my computer took dump. Whenever my brother fixes that, then I can post the videos.

 

I have been busy since returning from RR but wanted to say thanks to all who came and wheeled RR. Thanks to all who shared whatever they had, food, drink, knowledge, talk, and their excitement for 4wheelin. I think we all owe Marc (Zman) a big THANKYOU for basically pulling it all together, spotting for us, fixing whatever broke, and bringing his garage on wheels AKA "the winnie". Thanks Marc, I am ready to do it again.

Next time I should either be in 4wd f+r locked or SASed and ready to tackle everything

 

Next time I will have an axle with a clip in it so it doesn't completely grenade on me

 

AGAIN, I have to ask.... Are you sure it wouldn't just be cheaper to trade your truck for a 4WD?

It's coming along. I picked up an FJ80 front axle for it this weekend.

 

Whats the point in tradeing in and loosing 2k if I plan to SAS it anyways? and if I did the IFS conversion it would be even less then 2k.
