BTW, your Yota is BADA$$, is there a build thread on it ? Probably on pirate right? Im afraid Ill get ripped apart if I share mine over there...
Thanks man, but I don't post over on Pirate. Unless you're the god of fabrication or don't know every little thing there is to know about 4WD and offroading you should just keep your mouth shut and lurk. So lurk I do.

I like your 4Runner, I'm assuming your the same guy that I ran into on the hill climbs on the pole line. It's too clean though.

Yeah it is. Those Bud Build XMembers and skids are the ! I have one and it handles all kinds of abuse. Then again it's 3/8" plate steel and a 1/8" thick skid plate. I've landed on mine hard many many times to the point where it's knocked the wind out of me. You look at it and it's barely scratched!

Someday when I get to mess with the runner I'll grab one of those. I plan on swapping out the auto with 5 spd and running dual t-cases. Someday that is. Got to get other things out of the way first.

hey Red I hope you didn't take that the wrong way. That was a good call on that line. I have full confidence in the stock yota and my driving abilities. My question to you is how do you learn to deal with trusting spotters you don't or hardly even know or know your rigs capabilities?

Just got to trust your gut...I learned my lesson. Don't let your kid talk you into something you know you shouldn't do.

That's why you go with one group and learn each other's rigs, and learn to trust each other. To answer your question though, it's hard to trust someone you don't know. Actually it's hard to trust anyone spotting you. You have to constantly keep this thought in the back of your mind when someone's spotting you, "They are my eyes, they are my eyes". I still don't trust some people when I go out. But it also helps that my trail rig, is just that, a trail ONLY rig. If it brakes it brakes...I put it on the trailer and fix it when I have the time/money.

Yeup thats me, I ran the line you did on sunday with mine. My truck is "clean" i searched for a long time to find one that wasn't all rotted. This was the trucks shake down run so I am sure if we meet again it'll show some more use.

As for pirate...I kinda get that impression as well...I am far from any sort of fabricator and my truck is just a weekend warrior at best, ill just stick to posting here for now untill its on 38.5s and 60s with a full exo haha

I actually wanted to take the climb furthest to the left. The one on the right is too easy. The one on the left, at least the last time I ran it, was really loose which made it more challenging than the right. But, all you guys were coming down the left. As usual I made the best of things and took a harder line up the right climb. The new tires made a joke of it though.
