Peaceful Wheelin' (i.e, boring)

Boring but satisfying.
So, if you were to try to show your enviro-friendly mother what you do out in the woods with your truck, what manner of video clips would you use? Rock climbing? Muddin'? High speed desert runnin? Or maybe just a slow stroll thru the woods, down near the river?
You can guess what I picked. I think she'll accept the fact that I try to tread lightly. Now that I think of it, I should have included a clip of me picking up trash down there (which I did but forgot to vid it).

Just over 10 Meg for those who have slow connections.

Well, my mother is handicapped, so she ain't getting in my truck. That vid is as close as she's going to get to going wheelin' with me. Still, it's a good idea and I thought of trying, but it just wasn't going to work.

That Eagle was cool, the rest looked like 4x4 television without the heeps. Good Job, up it worked.

LOL, my mom sounds just like that!

So, this is a long story made short but I was glad to see the young eagle as this area by the river where I was used to be about 200 acres. Then, the city of Des Moines gave the land to a developer for the purpose of the developer building\contributing a "sanctuary" for the "Great Ape Trust of Iowa" (yes, I know Iowa is not a good habitat for Apes).
Anyway, I (along with others) have been going down there for years and a few years ago we noticed a breeding pair of bald eagles, and we had seen the nest, I have pics of them and the nest.
Well, once the monkey farm got going, they kicked all the wheelers\bikers\campers and fisherpeople out and used about 100 for the ape sanctuary. I still get in about once a year to check on the eagles.. and last saturday, I get to where I *think* the tree is at and I see...
nothing but trees piled on the ground. The monkey people apparently decided to build a huge fence that goes all the way to the river and they brought in a bulldozer and bulldozed several acres, a hundred feet wide.
I'm not 100% sure, but I couldn't find the nest (tho it's hard with all the foliage) but I think they bulldowzd the tree that they've been nesting in for years.
However, I did see one mature bald there and that juve that I got on the video.

I hate, I absolutely hate development of land. I can't tell you how much I hate it. I should also mention that apparently the developer kept about 40 acres and is dividing it up for either residential or commercial development.

Here's a pic of what it looked like before... I'll find an after pic later (have to run now, spent more time typing than I should have).

Cheapo camera, I'm really not happy with it at all. It screws with the colors, not good at low light situations. It is user-friendly and has good optical zoom tho. It's a Sony (I'll never buy Sony again tho, since they are so consumer-unfriendly) handycam, model HC26. I think I paid $299 for it.
The software came free with a video card a few years ago, "Studio 8", I forget who makes it. It really suks too. Crashes on a few functions and since it was free, the color correction, which I need, is disabled along with other functions I'd like to have.
Music, I think someone asked.... Led Zeppelin "Bron-Yr-Aur".
