Ouray-Silverton, Colorado (Engineer Pass)
I just got back from an almost 3 wk. camping road trip. We stayed 5 days camping in Silverton, CO. One day we went to Ouray and then took the Alpine loop up to Engineer Pass and then came back down to Silverton. I could have wheeled everyday up there, but my wife would have killed me. Anyways here are some pics:

I can't wait to go back next year. I'll post pics from the whole trip in a different thread. Enjoy,

I am sooooooo jealous -- there are no places in the East to do trips like that. Great pics, thanks for sharing.
BTW, your signature says 33x12.50s on painted rims, but those are the stock rims. Are those 31 or 32 inch tires?

thanks, I am definately bummed to be home, that place is too awesome!
As for the tires, I have a set of 33's that I wheel with till I can regear. I didn't want to do a 5,000 mile plus roadtrip on those, because of gas etc... The tires I have on for the trip and daily use are 31's, but they only measure 30 inches. My avatar has pics of the 33's on.

It is an awesome place! I am going to try to make it there at least once a year. Has there ever been a Yotatech event there? I think it would be a great place to have one. Lots of hotels, camping, etc....

Thanks, My wife is a photographer, so most of the props go to her for the pics. I just try to figure out cool places to take her so that I can wheel and make it seem like I am doing it for her. Although, she doesn't like to get out and take action pictures that much, something about why walk up the dusty rock when I can just ride with you. So, sorry, no action shots. The start of the trail, from Ouray actually has some interesting spots, especially if you try to take the hard line.
