that is fair. i will order them today from watertown toyota. pat said he will come with me this weekend, and offered to lend a hand on the install when i pick him up. he will not be bringing his runner. i however have the exact same set up as him. stock except for billies. what time is the meet by the way? and has anyone heard from lee? perhaps he too can make it out this weekend?

Lets say 10:30 here in ashburnham. Meet at the Mr. Mikes/ Mobil on rt 101 in ashburnham, take rt 2 to 140 north take a right at the second light onto 101 into ashburnham. My cell is 508-662-7167, call me if you get lost. BTW, it might be crappy to lay under a truck in the rain.

Yeah, it is really easy to do the install, clean up the dirt around the breather so none falls into the diff, get a wrench and unscrew the breather, screw in the nipple and put the hose and clamp on it, put the new breather on the other end and clamp it on. Then grab a couple zip ties and tie the hose to a couple of places (be sure to leave some slack to account for flex) and put the end somewhere higher. (I tied mine to the fuel filler hose, near the top) If that isn't detailed enough, there are a couple posts about it, search away. So does 10:30 sound good to anyone who is coming?

Intrepid, I guess to say I posted on another board is not quite true, I posted on this board under the general tech forum. You won't see it because once someone mentioned the breather extension on this thread I deleted my other thread, it had no replies so it disappeared completely. Looks like I'll be coming out again sooner than expected, I think I'm just going to ride along with bflooks this time, I bet he'll drive up that hill! One way or another we'll come together so getting to the Mobil is no problem.

anyone heard from lee? after all, i only think it would be fair to ask the founder of the new ne4roc to join (and hopefully attend). and pat161...perhaps i will try that giant hill, because i am perhaps not as wise and "experienced" when it comes to off-road as you are! haha

Lee was invited last time but his truck is to pretty so....err.....I mean (jk lee, couldn't resist)...
Yeah, I invited Lee, but he had a prior engagement that he couldn't get out of, he has plans this saturday but they may be cancelled for the rain, if that happens he will make it. We shall see.

Wise or experienced as who? Every truck there but pat and one other did the hill, it is fun and easy.

actually, i was just poking a little fun at pat. he and i discussed today that you guys were kind to him despite not hitting the sands, the hill, and turning around half way through. i have heard all about the past times he had been wheeling (as i have heard that you heard as well). this is where the "wise and experienced as you are" comment came from, directed to pat.

what a jerk, breaking the rules, maybe you shouldn't say that you broke the rules, that would be like doing something illegal, such as trespassing, and we all know how much people love to flame others for doing illegal things (sarcasm)

10:30 am at mobil in ashburnham, yeah.
I can only speak for myself, but I have a tow strap, come-a-long, and hi lift jack in my truck at all times. I would bet money that Eric has at least a tow strap. You should go to Walmart and buy the midland cb that eric, clay, and I have, it is only $30-$40 and we have a spare magnet mount antennae you can use for now. Hell, you could even buy a cheapo tow strap there if you want. See you tomorrow.

buy a good strong strap preferably WITHOUT hooks, as long as the hand held has good batteries it should be ok. All this rain is making tomorrow WICKED PISSA, I am really excited to see all the mud and water tomorrow!

okay, stupid, i know. and i have read the newbie post about things to know about off-roading. however, i am not sure if i am going to have time to get to the store. is it crucial to have this stuff? i can get my hands on the handheld. no problems. the strap i have to get to a store to buy. you are familiar with the runs, think it is essential for this trip? i am anxious to see the flooded out part, and to get the runner filthy! haha

i do have a tow strap... although i bought it before i found out hooks are bad... so it has hooks

it still does get the job done though and hopefully the trails tomarrow will be just deep enough for fun and not deep enough to get stuck.. but only time will tell
