A little snow wheelin' in NM
I finally got the chance to go play in the snow this winter...For all you new mexicans, this is off of SR 126 near Cuba, NM. There is literally 3 feet of snow in areas. And it was a wet heavy snow, very difficult to drive through. But a lot of fun!
What I learned about snow wheelin' is momentum. Just after I took this pic
when starting again I sunk through another 2 feet of snow and was burried up to the doors on the drivers side. Don't stop for pics in the snow!

Snow Flex

Remember, Safety in numbers and have plenty of recovery gear. We each pulled each other out more than once.

I glad you enjoyed yourself
I drive through that much snow every morning to go to work or to go to the grocery store. hehe! Try doing it a t night, alone...
But you have a point... bring recovery gear to help you out of "snow jams".

Nice pics, that's more snow than I've ever seen.
Off topic, how did you mount your hi-lift to your ARB? Any close up pics?

Steel? Sitting at SteveO's
Time? Not yet
I hope things slow down a little bit soon.

My plans haven't changed. I will continue to make a rear bumper slider that bolts where the original hitch bolts, a complete wrap around design very similar to my sliders. I figure since the stock bumper is more of an extension of the body anyways, I might as well treat it as such. And even with a custom bumper you don't gain very much departure angle, so why spend the $ to do that. I hope to build something that could be copied and used by people who do not want a complete custom bumper, but want rear protection.
As you guys witnessed, my plain old simple "Moab bumper" held up just fine in Moab and CO. So why not go with that philosophy.

Nice pics, Jim. That area has gotten so much more snow than us this year. The local ski hilol has plenty, but here in town we haven't got that much...
Let me know when you have time and will be working on things at Steve's, I'll try to come down there and get in the way.

There is certainly a lot of snow up there. We were messing around and jumping into snow up to our waist. It was pretty cool. I got stuck a few times trying to go through deeper and deeper snow. Very fun!
I will let you know when I get up there.
