Some friends and I headed out west of Phoenix, north of Wickeburg, to see some ghost town ruins.

We camped the first nite at the site of a stone ruin of a home right off the Hassayampa wash











There were trees growing out of trees:






The "Town" of Octave












Ancient IFS?


But its a Chevy




Just down the road is the town of Weaver where we came across the remains of the Post Office








And a huge Cemetery










Then we made our way to the town of Stanton which is in the process of being restored by the Lost Dutchman Mining Association

and I really had to go (ok, not really)




On the way home, we came down Buckhorn Trail and passed Castle Hot Springs
