Nice.. I really don't like those things on the roof of the 07's. I have an 06 Silver Streak Mica Taco and it just looks cleaner with the roof smooth I think. Glad to see some people are wheeling their new ones. I haven't been brave enough yet to take mine off the pavement...it's just sooooo purty!!

That's funny, I love the roof rack. I think it is a novel concept to that the cross bars fold into the fore-aft runners.

yea, i love my roofracks. i need them for my longboard, and kayaks, because they don't fit in the bed. i might be getting a toolbox for free, and then i will have a trunk sized bed, can't wait!!

I've NEVER seen a Tacoma on the trail/off-road where I go. It's a cryin' shame. Show 'em how it's done wouldya? Thanks for all your efforts, keep at it.

The one major difference i saw from my old 4runner to the taco was the weight difference. when i was pulling out the dodge, the back just kept jumping up and down constantly. but just riding around it was fine. the 4runner never did that. i guess you can always stick a spare tire and other junk in the bed or air down. i didn't air down at all, because i didn't really need to where i was at. im not to crazy about the on the fly 4 wheel drive either. but i am very satisifed with it, and am absolutely loving it. go for the taco man!!

Nice looking truck. Now I can see what mine would look like playing in the dunes without having to clean it up afterward. We go to hugenot @ every other week in the summer and my daughter is already begging to go, I don't think its for the wheelin' I think it might be for the waves. Maybe we'll see you there. After we got the wifes saturn stuck there last year she said it has to be my truck from now on. So I bought a DC so everyone could go.HAHA

Looks like some fun! Shoulda gotten a pic of the guy you pulled out... lol Would like to see the look on his face.

Not to hijack, but since others haven't seen a new one off-road I'll post a couple pics and answer questions about how it handles. I have a DC shortbed, and the pics below are on atv trails. Slightly wider than a single atv, but still narrow. It was easy to navigate most of the turns, hills, and banks. Would love to go again, but it's by a river that's flooded several times since I went last. Nothing but mud now. Hopefully summer will dry it out some.

Edit: This was also before my lift and bigger tires. Haven't had time to do more than bust through snow banks since the lift/tires. I've done a few fire/power line access trails and taken hills the freaked my wife out. Nothing I would need help to get through though since I didn't have anyone to go with. Planning on more this summer though.

I'd actually like to add the roof rack later on. I'm thinking either put a basket on, or make some sort of light bar for some off road lights. Maybe something like this:

the rugged trails do pretty good in sand, i havent taken it into mud yet, and don't plan on it for a while, but if i ever do, thats when i would start to worry with the rugged trails. The beach is fun, especially early in the morning, because you can do all the donuts you want until the lifeguards come out. I didn't catch anything, but i still had fun kickin up some sand

that basket looks awesome on the taco.
