First Off-Road/Camping Trip (Gulches ORV Park)

Well I went wheelin' for the first time with my 4runner and I had a blast! I took the Land Rover Off-Road Driving school course once and that was an excelent introduction to the tread-lightly policy and also how to manuver a vehicle through rough terrain. Also, my friend owned a LandCruiser with 35's and we used to go wheelin all the time, so I was not totally in the dark.

But now I truly know what you guys meant by saying that the 4runner is very capable in its stock form. In the beginning of the run I was going through all of the easy trails but slowly ended up doing all of the intermediate ones. I was even able to make one of the advanced trails which included a very steep incline with pretty big stumps that got in the way. It was certainly exhilarating and it made me want to build up the 4runner so I could do it all. Here are some pictures....

This was the end of one of the intermediate trails...Pretty cool experience trying to manuver through this hole.

My dog taking a morning pee....haha

We met up with professionals that do competition driving and they helped me a lot while I was with them.

Crazy Jeep...sry guys, I couldn't show him up

This is the advanced trail I did...you can't really capture the dificulty in the picture or the incline but I was spotted by on the guys there and thanks to him he made it look pretty easy to do. For those that have been there, it was trail 56...

Some wildlife...I also saw a black cow that was wondering through the woods (which at first I thought it was a bear because it was getting dark)

Tell me what you guys think....

looks like a good time! lock up the bank account because once the modding starts, there are no rehab centers.
