A few cool pics from this weekend

There was a 'Jeep Scramble' at our local forest and I tagged along for a 'shakedown' run in my new 1st Gen. It did fine! The highlight of the weekend was pulling a stuck Jeep out of a Mud-Hole, and spraying the occupants. I got 'razzed' a few times, but it's all in fun.

^Really Soft

^Showing off my new stickers

Nice pics, nice sticker too

See any 'gators when you are out on the trails?
I think that would scare the you know what out of me.
Something about those huge long jaws and big teeth.

Looks like fun, completely different than the CO wheeling I'm used to

Nice soft top, what kind of top is it?

When the last picture was taken, we had to stop the convoy because a huge 'Cooter' (turtle) was laying eggs in the trail, and we didn't want to disturb her. The River was only a few hundred feet farther. Turtles are one of the alligators favorite meals.

Seeing Gators is not uncommon, although we didn't see any this trip. Too chilly I guess. I've caught and handled quite a few alligators, they aren't an aggressive animal. The only time I've been worried is when coming across a bunch of babies...

Our Campsite WAS over-run by Goats, though. One particular goat seemed to take an interest in me, taking peanuts out of my hand. I named her 'Malibu', and turned into the butt of many jokes, since I was the only guy without my significant other the first night.

It was fun! I'll have to post the wet pictures later.

The top is a 'Downey' unit. I cut down the side bars several inches so it fit my rig better.

Yeah, we were in Ocala, at the Oklawaha Camp ground.

But, it was chilly! I froze my butt off in the tent, it was in the 50's at night. 70's during the day, in the shade.

It was a beautiful weekend.

that pic is of the Oklawaha campground? I'm there!

I thought that was a view of the Suwanee river for a minute there.

That pic was taken behind the clubhouse/office. The campground is in the process of renovating the showers and restrooms, they were almost done last weekend. It's definitely one to visit, but the sites themselves are pretty open. About an hour from my house.
