Devils Canyon

Anyone heard of this trail? My friend has a neighbor that has run it with his jeep and come home with some serious rock-rash, broken driveline, and wasted tie-rods. It's just on the north side of the westbound 8 within the In-Ko-Pah Gorge grade coming up from the desert. Apparently 35's help a whole bunch as do front and rear lockers and plenty of body armor. Nothing my Toy can do at this point but it sounded like a good time.

Here's the link.

Should we move this over to the Trip Planning section and start to organize a run for those interested in late September? Sounds like we got three already. Could be interesting. Nothing like a 2.5mi trail that takes most of the day. Speaking of that - does anyone know the length of John Bull?

I'm down to go out there and spot/check it out.
So far I think the only trucks that will hang with this trail would be:
Black Sheep,Mikey,Marc,Josh. Sorry Pat I don't think your truck is quite there yet, notice the list is all SA.

But we could still drive out there and park near the trailhead and then bum a ride. But with the way this trail looks we'd probably be hiking more and still keeping ahead of the trucks! We could also run something else in the area if there is enough time after this beastly trail.

Marc and I are off for awhile, could anyone else run this in the next couple of weeks?

I would at least be interested in checking it out. Then like you said Rob maybe go hit up something else on our way back. Carvacre or ??????

Thanks for the heads up Andy!

The guy here (spaugh) Brad is really getting his 3rd gen all hooked up and is also looking to get it out there and see how she goes. He is also into shooting so I think he will fit in really well with our Socal group. He lives in the Mission Hills area.

Ok, so you gonna be ready to do a little "slider surfing" when they're in the off camber stuff?

Head over to the Planning section for all updates concerning the Oct. run. You must have a sick rig if this looks easy to you.
