Cookeville, TN Day Run 10-13-06 DIAL-UP BEWARE

Hey all, crackerjack, kayadict17 and I wheeled Copeland's Cove this past week. This was the easier trail, but here are some pics...

Jack's (crackerjack) rig

Justin (kayadict17) and his 1st Gen...Weird how all the obstacles dissappear in pictures?

Another of Jack's rig... 33's, LCE head and header, All-Pro Sliders, and even some REALLY NICE Tacoma seats.

My junk on the rocks

We all pull over so a heep can pass ...

Jack and his son

Jack spotting Justin

Jack on the same ledge

Good shot of Justin's rig

Yes, it was Friday the 13th, but nothing bad happened...Next time we will be doing some of the tougher trails at Copeland's Cove - Justin and I were pretty much new to this and in stock rigs. Thanks to crackerjack for finding some really nice trails, we will probably be out there many more weekends

Hopefully this proves there are *some* rocks on the east coast
Next time they will be bigger.

No, it's not far from Cookeville, maybe 15-20 min. north in Overton Co. Jack has to guide us everywhere, me and kayadict17 almost got lost coming home

It looked like there were a lot of trails in that area, so we will definitely be going back sometime soon. When are you free to go again?

i agree - good first run!!!

but lee, don't discount east tennessee or western NC just yet. we have royal blue, winrock, and tellico all withing 2 hours of knoxville as well as tons of other small places like the one they went to. cookeville is just about an hour west from my house, with the north gate of tellico about 1.5 hours to the south, and winrock and royal blue to the north.

for example, THIS is just the beginning of slickrock at tellico:

Great!!! been pushin to get back from Fl. to see these
I'm thinkin we elect All Terrain to be our East Tn. photo/reporter
I kinda figured we would start easy on trail difficulty
justin "first timer" did great picking lines
Jeb probably could have "kicked it up a notich"....
By that I mean he could have handled tougher stuff

Here's the link to the thread of another trip to this place from the 4th. There's still a good bit to be explored back in there.

Hopefully a windrock run will be in order early december.
