nice pics. truck looks good, and the trail looks like fun.

just out of curiosity, what are the shackle pics for? did you have carnage, or was/is your shackle angle just crappy?

Yeah I had a problem with the stock shackles inverting after I put on my Alcan springs and Roger Brown's custom 5 inch shackles took care of the problem. There was another member having the same problem and he ask me for some pics of them.

hmm - looks like you got a look of what longwater looks like after the haymen fire - That trail is actually still closed - but some people have been tearing down the signs... I'm sure you had no way of knowing... here's some more info...

No wonder there was hardly anyone else on it. I only ran into 2 other people on the whole trail, one motorcycle and a ATV. Hacket had a big berm of dirt to block it off along with closed signs, but Longwater looked open and no closed signs. I would have been really pissed if I hadn't got to do Longwater too. I will call the FS in the future about trails BEFORE I drive 500 miles to run them. I won't be bringing my $$$ back to the Colo. Springs area unless or until they open them back up. Most of the other trails I know about in the area were a disappointment. The biggest challange on some was how to keep my dashboard being rattled apart by the washboard roads. If there hadn't been a rock slide on Mt Baldy and the signs had been up on Longwater the trip would have been a total waste. I don't know where Metberry is though and I'm sure there are other trails I don't know about.

you might try eagle rock for more of a challenge.

how far a drive is Buena vista from tulsa? I'd have to meet ya'll up there. And what are the dates of this thing anyways.
