Blizzard in Saskatchewan

Last night Saskatoon was hit by a blizzard and the whole city had to shut down. There were even about 100 people stranded and sleeping in a costco for the night on the edge of the city. My friend's mom was one of them so we decided to make the trip there and rescue her. There also happened to be a news crew stuck there and we got on t.v. for braving the highways covered in 3 foot snow drifts in my truck.

Anyways here are some pics of the storm early on, went like this for about 8 hours and now the city's under a lot of snow. Sorry about the quality but I think it's alright for a cell phone camera.

Yeah we made it there and back. It took a long time though because we had to push through a lot of snow, shovel ourselves out 2 times and you couldn't see more than 15 feet in front of you.

Way to be a Hero, and way to get on TV. And way to make Yotas everywhere look good. Should done an interview, and tossed in a shameless plug for YT.

I would've, but some guy in a brand new H2 thought he could go anywhere and was driving people back and forth all day, he got the interview and the spotlight. I just kinda laughed because it probably cost him a few hundred in gas. Next time I'm on TV I'll yell "yotatech.com wooooo!!!" which should be sometime tomorrow at the city basketball finals.

I was hoping he'd get stuck while they were filming him drive through some deep stuff and I was gonna drive around him in it. But it was really light drift snow so no luck.
