At prentice cooper state park. Its on the top of signal mountain in chattanooga and back of signal mt. in whitwell tn. They have drawings for managed hunts every couple of months, but the rest of the time they're open for 4x4s, atvs and dirtbikes. For some reason all of the trails except for the haley rd. are closed right now and I have no idea why or for how long.

they close the trails to do trail maintenance, and they are open as of 3/15(I'm pretty sure, but i havent been there to check yet). the reason halley road stays open is it is the most traveled trail at PC and during the trail maintenance times it gets pretty crowded. Last time I was there I was on a mountain bike, and it is a different experience.

If you want some difficult terrain, prentice cooper is not for you. I can do just about everything there in 2wd w/ my 89 pickup. Right down the road though, there is a road to the right called big fork road and there are quite a few pretty good trails off of this road. There is all kinds of different terrain as well.
