Had a great time with a bunch of really nice guys. Met a lot of really cool people out there; made some new friends and met up with some old friends. The weather was just plain awesome, not too hot and just a slight breeze.

Ramped a 940 on what I was told to be a 30* ramp.





Kirk twisted a Full Floater 4340 Chromo Axle in his rear setup. Not only were the splines on the inside twisted, but the splines on the outside of the axle were twisted. Along with that, he busted up a Ring gear, which is how we found the axle issue. He was in the "get-r-done" mode.

What happend to that axel man?

Nice, was that on a Toy?. I can't really imagine anything Toyota having the kind of power to cause that kind of damage.

 

Yeah, I think his rig is a 2003 Tacoma, or close to that year. He has Diamond Axles front and back, and this axle shaft was in the back with the Front Range Full Floater setup. He is running either 39" or 40" tires, somewhere in there.

Here Shane went to the right of the rock and had to pivot his left rear tire on the rock so that he could get lined up to get out of this little obstacle.



This kind of flex allowed me to literally walk through this obstacle. I decided to just go over it. It was really easy to walk through this.





And the most amazing thing about this rig is that it drives straight. When accelerating it doesn't pull one way or the other, when decelearting, it doesn't pull one way or the other. The brakes work great, it rides really nice on the highway. No Bump steer, has a great return to center when coming out of corners, and is very stable, even at 30* of lean.

The more I wheel it, the more impressed I am with the results.

When I was a kid, I was drawing pictures of this kind of thing, dreaming, building little cars out of coat hangers and gears from electric cars.

Now, I'm living the dream.
