I guess these are from your survey travels?

A shame really... to think you were forced out of a desk job to wander around aimlessly all day. You must be going crazy without those cubicle walls around you to give you a sense of safety.

Awsome pictures and yes the ford is pretty cool.

I believe the ball shape thing on the hood of the taco is a GPS antena. Its pretty big though, and why on the hood. Is it very persice due to your job and that might explain its size.

Yep. Trimble Units. That way we can stick the actual point of measure as far our front as possible.

Thanks! First step is to quit your job and sell most of your belongings.

Well... All of it except for a corner of it. I'm going back on Tuesday to finish it.
We went from St. George down to the rim covering most of the strip side to side.

We stumbled upon the wave while working. You need to get a permit from the forest service. Its amazing. You'll love it!
Not a hike away from the grand canyon though. More like a couple hours of offroading. Or about an hour and a half south of Kanab. Or even less if you drive from page.

yeah i had heard you have to have a permit and they're getting harder to get. i had a patient get in the lottery for a permit two days last week and never did get one. he said there were people from wisconsin that had tried 5 days and never got to go. the day they were there 90 people showed up for the 10 permits.

WOW. I had heard that if you tried to get a weekday pass it was easy, but it sounds like thats not the case.
