Argentine Pass - 7-22-07

Argentine Pass - Colorado - 7.22.07
Not a lot of wheelin pics to be had when you're running solo.

Heading up...

Wild flowers galore.

Shelf road heading up last few switchbacks

We reached the top of Argentine Pass- with beautiful mountain peaks
and lush valleys surrounding us.

Argentine pass is the highest drivable pass in CO.
Our GPS says 13,251Ft.

The "Ladies" enjoying the view.

A placard mounted in stone in 1924 - noting the 13,207 Ft. point

Less air at 13,000 ft. must make your hair stand up!

Click the picture for a 360 degree pano from the top of the pass.

Wow! Air has to be thin up there. I'm still trying to catch my breath after just looking at your pics. Thanks.

Cool pics.

I always get a kick out of the elevation there in CO.

The high point here that you can drive up to by Mt. Rainier in the National Park is around 5,200 feet or so, and at Greenwater where I go the high point is about the same.
