2007-04-29 - Dan's Farm Trail/Bear Swamp Trail (56K Lookout!)

Some of these have descriptions, just keep scrolling.

Trail & Tracking with my trusty T60 and GPS...

Did someone loose a bogger?

Lots of not-too-deep mud and ruts and bumps on this trail. easy but very fun.

George of the jungle has blocked my trail...

Attempting to flex...

...and having it look more like off camber...

All the good trails end like this.

I would totally buy this place and live here if I had the money. Wheeling out your back door? hell yeah! The commute would be a killer though.

Things get slightly gnarly from the mud standpoint...

...And get worse...

...And Worse... I was worried, then I went at each of the puddles with a stick to check dept and bottom conditions before tearing-arse through them!

My first stream crossing EVER!

Looks like a full-size has been bogging and tearing this up...

Dirty-Aftermath...

More dirt. not that bad at all.

Post-processed artwork shots I got are... (click for bigger)

WHEEE!!! I LOVE WHEELIN!

I can't find any local trails where I have to worry about getting stuck! You guys in CO and CA have all the fun. The mud holes worries me but I've gotten stuck when I was out solo a few times and it's no fun. Need to find some more local wheelers. stupid college kids are too busy drinking and not driving their perfectly clean jeeps/4runners/LCs/LRs up in the woods!

Yeah, definitely easy. some parts of it are no more than a gravel road, but there were a few seldom-used spots that had some fun bumps and whatnot. and the whole ride really had me wishing i'd aired down, twas bumpy.
