09 Sep Carvacre Run in SoCal

So Brad (spaugh) and I did a quick last minute run up to Alpine to see if Carvacre was open. After breakfast at Janet's we hit the trail and had a great time. I did not take too many pics so hopefully Brad will post up some of his photos.

We both took some damage to our rear bumpers at Pancake Rock not to mention our tailpipes got hammered. But I was able to bang mine out pretty well and then cut it off a bit shorter and at an angle. Hope this helps out a bit next time.

That is the cover they issued me for our mission to Kenya. He loves that hat. It is pretty funny looking though.

I can't wait to get down there and do a run with you guys. Looks like you had fun. My Jack is gonna be 2 on Wed. and he loves the dune rides. He gets a little antsy on the long hot trail runs though. Althoug now he is all about the trucks, ha ha getting him hooked early!

I had a great time, and this is the most difficult trail I have taken so far. With my lift, 33's, and rear locker, I have not been able to take trails like this until now. I didn't get any action shots of eric, but I got some video footage of him. I'm trying to put those on photobucket now, but they may be too big.

Here is a photo of me coming off the pancake where we both wrecked our bumpers and exhaust pipes.

Here is some videos of eric. I think its time for front and rear arb lockers eric, what do you think? Erics wife is as cool as a cucumber the whole ride.

Looks like you guys had some fun out there. Killer video of the drop at Pancake. I like the "oooooofffffffffff" at the end of the video. I goes nicely with the sound of metal against granite. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah he was saying oooofffff at the top and I was saying
AAAWWWW Maaannn in the Runner. It was a bad line and I should not have taken it. I have done that obstacle at least 4 times and never a scratch. One good thing about our cheesey bumpers is that they can be hammered out pretty easily.

Chris you will really like this trail. It can be really challenging if you want to take harder lines. Even blacksheep could find a challenge up there.

A rear bumper change is def needed!

hey ecc, make sure your exhaust tip is sticking out far enough, or you'll cook the paint on the bottom of that rear quarter. Also some more nice pics for us east coast guys to envy.

Thanks that is something I will pay attention to now that I know to look for it. Now that you mention this it would be really easy for that to happen and not notice it until a lot of damage was done. Thanks again!

I am not gonna sugar coat it. We do enjoy some outstanding wheeling here in SoCal. I love it here! I did some decent wheeling over on the other side of the country also but it is just totally different here. Not area bashing but since you brought it up.
