Weird stuf after loading Internet Explorer 7
Ever since I upgraded to IE 7 I have been having some weird stuff go on. For example on YT my smilies are no longer animated they don't move like they used to and alot of times in a post with pics I see nothing not even a red X but people are talking about how cool the picture is. I'm using Zone Alarm Security Suit for my Antivirus Antispyware but I had it before without these issues.. any of you PC gurus have a clue as to what is up?

That is one reason I will not upgrade.
I have read the horror stories both here and other forums.
Many have had to format their PC after putting in IE7.
I will wait until I build my next PC when I put Vista on it, and it will come with IE7, so less goes wrong.
I do not even use IE6 anymore except for Windows Updates.
I only surf now with FireFox.

Not to sure whats up in this case. My thoughts would lean me to Zone Alarm.
I have been running IE7 on all my computers now since it was in beta. I have had no problems what so ever.
I use Zone Alarm free firewall, been using that for years, do not have much experience with the suite you are using. I would go look in the FAQ at zone alarm to see if anything is listed there.
I have FireFox, and have used it for quite awhile, probably since it came out. but it is and will always be my back up browser. Liked the tab browsing, but i think IE has it trumped. definitely like the multi home page option in 7.
FireFox is cool and i use it almost daily but my main one will always be IE, guess i just don't want to have to learn all the trick for something else.

There's an article in Maximum PC on why you should not upgrade to Vista.

When will people learn not to bother with IE?
There are much better alternatives.
If you insist in IE-based, try http://www.avantbrowser.com/

My own take is all of the changes are aimed at Vista... plus I use Slimbrowser on top of IE, which I love. So sometimes the farmers rule is valid for software.
Next computer will have both Vista and the latest IE... so no big deal.

I do a full blown format and install a fresh full copy of any OS I use.
I have not done an upgrade since I upgraded from Windows 3.1 to 95 back in 1995.
When I do Vista next year or so, it will be on a new state of the art PC I build from scratch, although my current PC has enough grunt to run it now.

I do not ever plan on upgrading, I never do.

Even when i get an upgrade disk its loaded from a freshly wiped drive. Just have to make sure you have the "old version" disk handy. money saving tip.

Downloaded Firefox and went back to IE6. Things seem to be back to normal. Gonna use FF for a while and see how I like it. Thanks for the help!:bigclap:

Firefox overall is much better and there isnt much it lets in unlike IE does, it wont let java scripts open-which are usually trojans and malware-which IE still does.
That being said, I only use IE for when a page in FF wont work..
Anyone who uses IE should never complain about problems as its junk and always will be. Coming from a person who built/repair computers for a living, was one of a few knowledgable techs to work at a certain pc store I wont use it period unless I have to.

Both browsers (FF and IE 6) are on my machine because 10% of the time I like to use IE with MSN Messenger to open hotmail. The other 90% of my internet usage is handled with Firefox. One of the coolest FF features I've seen, is the ability to right click and block graphical ads by their domain. Now if they could only do this for flash ads, I could die a happy man.

This is a rather cool feature. IE7 is the only browser I can use at work. I am having no problems. and, that feature has cut down my login times to tools I use on company's intranet. Just one click and bam 6 pages open and goto the sites i need them at. I think the limit is 7 or 8 pages it will open with the home button.
