Need a two way radio holster

I was issued a Motorola MTS 2000 two way at work.
I use a cell phone at work too, since the jitney dispatcher can not reach me in the fringe areas.

But working with my crew on site the two ways work fine, and we are on a repeater system.

Looking for a good holster to wear on the outsude of my pullover, and underneath my heavier winter jacket soon.

Googled this and it looks pretty cool.

Anyone use one like this, or have a favorite you have used before?
I hate having to hand carry the thing, and getting a clip to hook to my pants is out of the question.
I hate carrying stuff on my waist, it pulls the pants down

Here is my radio, just saw them on Ebay for around $500.
They are not cheap, glad I am not paying for it.

I have one like the top pic Corey. If you want to try it out, you can borrow it. Just have to find it in "the abyss".

I did a google search for radio holster chest. They have one under the arm. Think security would like it if it looked like you were carrying a concealed weapon?

That is kind of cool Dave.
I was talking to CJ (Boeing security woman) you may know her.

I asked her yesterday if she knew of any holsters, but they all wear them on their belts pretty much.

I think the first one I posted would be the easiet way to grab and pull it out if I had it under my coat.

Corey, check the ski shops. We used to use that exact radio holster in the back country when doing avalanche control.

Stores has the leather belt holsters. There is a fitting that goes on your belt, and the radio holster attaches to that (makes fast on/off)

Corey,

We use several types of holsters and harnesses on my SAR team. Besides my mobiles, I use two handheld VHF radios: a Bendix King and an Icom F50. I keep the BK radio in a leather holster, but carry it with a shoulder strap. My F50 resides in my SAR vest since it's much smaller and lighter then the BK.

You can find a few nice models of the leather shoulder holsters on eBay, as well as other online shops:

eBay - Leather Firefighter Radio Strap & Holster & Sway Strap
This one states it fits a number of Motorola models.

eBay - Leather Radio Strap / Full Holder/ Complete set

These models tend to work better if you have an attachable speaker mic.

I would avoid the chest harnesses if you are wearing work clothes similar to the type in the photo. These tend to trap perspiration behind the harness while wearing it. If you take it off, depending on the color and type of shirt worn, you'll have a nice square patch of condensation/perspiration on your chest.

Ian, I have the 2nd one in the Ebay link.
I inherited from our mechanic who just retired.
It works good, but the strap even with the slidable pad scrapes across my neck a bit.

It is an old case, and well worn, has some class to it.
My lead just found it for me last week.

Yea that leather strap can chaff a bit. I'll look at my other links at home, but I might have a couple for softer nylon cases and straps.

* * * Edit * * *

many other models to look at, but here are two items.

Radio Holder, Cordura Nylon Web Design (appears to have rings to clip a strap)
