Great replacement for 99-2002 Door speakers!
I just purchased and installed the Blaupunkt 6 3/4 components. Blaupunkt TSc660 6-3/4" component speaker system
They are on sale at Crutchfield for $59.99 a set. Awesome value. I am currently running them off of the stock radio and the sound great. Also...the tweeter has a screw-in mount that will use the factory mounting bracket...could not be any easier. I sealed the edges around the speaker to keep the woofer sealed to the door.
I also purchased the 5 1/4 separates for the rear door. Blaupunkt TSc540. I used a dremel to mount the tweeters above the woofers in the doors. They are also on sale. I think I paid like $127 shipped for both sets!
Go check them out!
I cannot tell you enough on how much better they sound than the factory. I have a new Kenwood headunit coming in to power them. I just finished a sub box for a 12" Kenwood woofer, it is being painted. And I just purchased an open box Rockford Fosgate P2002 amp for it at BestBuy for $70 off. I just finished the underseat mounting of it and are waiting for the headunit to come in.
Pics to follow!

Well, be aware on any speakers you put in the front doors is that the mounting holes do not align exactly up, you have to be creative on the angle of the screw, but they will go in at an angle or you have to make a clip on the edge to hold it down.

The front factory stock speakers are 7" so you have to buy or make a bracket. That is why Crutchfield says they won't fit. Some of the 6.5" and 6.75" they will actually say fit...Crutchfield is just not consistant on the fits sometimes.
I actually have 6.5" components in the rear doors of my 2000 4runner. took a little extra work from the 5.25", which I did first, but they sound awesome.

Those brackets on ebay from mjmautoinnovations work great. I have the 6 1/2 brackets on mt front doors and the 5 1/4 brackets on the rear doors of my 99 4runner.
Let's see pics of the Blaupunkts. I might consider buying them for the gf's car.

I am going to pull off one of the panels to paint the trim around the tweeters in the rear doors. I will get some pics then of them installed. If you want to see them uninstalled look at the link in the first post.
The more I use them the more I like them. Very clean and with some actual punch on the low end.

Ok, here are some pics of the install:
Front door, using the factory mounts.
Tweeter mount using factory bracket.
Rear door speakers using the template brackets made from MDF.
Rear door showing the component tweeters mounted above the woofers.
The Blaupunkt components really are an easy install and sound great for the price.
