Looking for the local toyota AZ scene

well yzonie set me over here to check things out for the local toy wheeling scene. Ive been lurking here for a little while and figured I would post up. I am new to the toyota crowd but not to wheeling. I had a fullsize bronco that I wheeled the piss out of and plan to do that to the new rig.

I am currently in the process of building an 85 extra cab pickup, yeah so its not a runner but its going to be sweet when done. I am doing all my own tube work but bought alot of the suspension hangers and brackets to save time, plus they are cheap enough. I plan to run a 37 or 38 on it, locked front and rear of course, longfields, doubler, 4.7 gears, blah blah, anyway Here are a couple pictures

hope to see some of you guys on the trails soon, I not sure on the completion of my junk but its at least a month or two away. Ive got most of my parts besides tires, wheels, and a few small things just need the time to put it all together. the tube work is going to take a while but at least it will be drivable before I get too far with that

Welcome to Yotatech!!

Looks like its going to be SWEEET!!!

Where in Az are you? I live in Chandler, but there are YT-ers all over the valley.

I just got home from Butcher Jones, and it was sooo awesome out there today! The trails were fun, the water was perfect - couldn't have asked for a better time!!!

Hope to see ya out there soon!!

Im in peoria...

yeah Im dying to go wheeling again. Ive been forced to ride shotgun lately due not having a rig. This thing has been taking up most of my time lately too. Its endless it seems. But like they say half of the fun is building it!

Always good to see some more AZ participation on YT.

I am hopeful when the temps drop we'll get some more runs going. Any ideas when you'll be looking to hit the trails? Sounds like you've got a lot planned.

I still have alot to do including fixing some leaks on the engine before putting the trans back in. remove the old torsion bar mounts while the trans is out. build a crossmember and skid plate for the t-case, redo the interior, source an F150 fuel tank and install, mount spare and build the bed, get rid of the load proportioning vavle and bleed brakes, finish the hydro assist setup and then it should be driveable and I can get a feel for it on the trail. then comes building slides, bumpers and interior cage.

yup lots of work and Im sure Im forgetting alot
