Anybody have Front Range Off-Road sway bar disconnects installed on their 2nd gen? I'm thinking of getting them, but hear some designs cause a lot of clicking noise when connected. Do these kind make a lot of noise?

If I had discos, those are the ones I would have. The big loads would be on the poly, not on the heim like I broke on my Rockstompers.

The disconnects that Brian makes & sells are essentially the Persson Off-Road ones that are no longer available. Very well engineered and I've heard good things about them.

What's a... "sway bar"?

Of all the designs I've seen these are the ones that I would go with (if I still ran a swaybar...), never heard a complaint about them.

Ditto. If i were going to run a swaybar, i would buy those. But i dont have a sway bar on either truck, they were the first things i removed. I took the one off the K5 the first day i owned it. Hey, you gotta do something while the oil drains.

Hopefully nothing. I was just a little concerned about the pin that holds it together. Unless it was under constant tension I could see it rattling around a bit.


I hear that argument. I thought about just removing it, but I haul my kids around in it and occasionally take long trips where I tend to slightly exceed the posted speed limit. Basically, though, I spend 90+ percent of my time on-road. I just don't want to give up that tight sports car feeling for a little extra off-road performance.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like they make a good product. I guess I've got a decision to make.

yeah. im just thinking $125 a pair is a little steep. im thinking ima just buy some from Lee for $95 front and back.
