Clinometer???????

OK I bought this nifty little clinometer on ebay. Its the toyota model that gives you pitch and roll angles. And now well... I don't know how to hook it up. The writing is all Japanese. Anyone know what wires are what?? Color Choices:
White w/Black Stripe
Black
Red
Red w/White Stripe

I know that it works with out power but I would like to make the light and everything work properly.

Yep, just hook up the light in parallel with another dimming light:

Get a volt meter and poke around to find them, or find something that has a light behind it and use those. The back light for the cigarette lighter is one that is handy, or one of the climate control panel backlights. You may even have a connector for the clinometer stuffed someplace under the dash. Or if you are not worried about dimming, just wire the light to switched power.

You guys are totally missing his point.

He is saying thier are 4 wires coming from the inclinometer. He doesn't know what these wires do.

I didn't think the unit was powered other than the lighting....so is each of these wires for a different light bulb and one for ground?

But I believe he isn't trying to figure out how to hook it ot the truck, but rather understand the wiring of the unit itself.

Same thing, find the wires that connect to the light bulb, factory 4Runner wiring is 2 wires, Black and Black-White. Likely it is the Tercel with the 4WD indicator. Should take no more than a minute to figure out which two wires hook to the 4WD light and which two hook to the back light.

And if that is too complicated, I spent 10 seconds searching and found the color codes and added that to my web page:
