finding clinometer wire off of dash harness

Hi,
I have a 88 4Runner and just picked up a new dash with clinometer. My question is where is the wiring and plug which plugs into the clinometer. I have the entire dash out and I do not see an extra wire and T-Shaped plug hanging off the harness to plug into the bottom of the clinometer. Did all the 85-89 1st generation 4Runners include the wiring and plug for the clinometer? Any help in locating this wire would be greatly appreciated. Is it hidden behind the air ducts?

Regards,
David

Someone just asked this question the other day and here is what seems to be the problem..... Not all Toyotas had the Inclinometers/Altimeter. They "do not need power to work", They are mechanical. The wires are just one hot and one ground for the back lights in the Inclinometer/ Altimeter/ Gauges. I just put one in my 01 Tacoma and I pulled off the front panel around the radio and heater/air buttons. Found a hot wire and and a ground wire on the air bag on/off indicator and hooked it up that way. You can also use the hot wire going to your Cigarette lighter outlet.
Do a search on "Inclinometer" and you will get all kinds of info. Hope this helps, Mike
