4th gen Skids

I need a good headcount on who's interested in some aftermarket skid plate for the 2003+ 4runner.

This will fit the v8's and should fit the v6's (not sure until I see one in person).

The skid will be similar to the Downey skid that I have and will be a single piece replacing the existing two piece setup. Since Downey is taking abit longer than I anticipated, I'm trying to work out a deal w/ Jason (Demello Offroad) to make some for everyone here.

Anyone interested, let me know so I can get a better figure on what the demand is like Please pass the word around and have em post here or PM me!

thanks always!

Sign me up for one. The existing skid plate is a joke.

Count me in.

Is this going to be from front to back covering the gas tank too?

I'm a maybe. I'd definitely like to hear some more about it. How hard are they to put on? How much they gonna cost? (ballpark)
I'd like something stronger for the gas tank, the OEM skid there is about as thick as tin foil. I barely off-road at all, and theres already some nice dents in it!

Count me in, as long as they are reasonable. On a side note...Lance I'd buy your OEM 16" Alloys and Tires if you still want to get rid of them.

Lets see it!

For me this would a form/function decision. As I don't wheel that often , The look will be important. If I like how it looks. Done deal, I'm in.

The skids will look similar to the skid that I have now. It should be relatively easy to install (will require some modding ofcourse) and will definitely be beefy!

Keep in mind that we'll have to remove the skid to get the oil filter so it'll have to relatively easy to install/de-install.

Price should be relatively the same price as market price (dunno exactly). Will find out more details as I get more information!

Thanks ya'll

I'm in.

I'd like to get something of Jasons on my truck. In fact, I'll give you $150 bucks for that snazzy bumper setup!

Just kidding about the bumpers. But I'm a definite on the skids.

will it replace that crappy plastic guard that attaches to the back of the second half of the skid? that thing is warped on mine and looks kinda funny, and i have a feeling that when i take it offroad this weekend, that thing ain't gonna protect me much. maybe it'll work like a little fin and help me swim through the mud!

in any case, i am very much looking forward to Jason's skid ...his products are awesome and I can't wait to replace the stock skid with one of his.

This skid will replace the existing two piece stock skid into one big piece.

okay, even if it replaced an inch of it, I'd still be in line for Jason's.
