um, I'd say that you would definitely need fuel mods to run 7-8 psi. I'd imagine being able to get away with 5 at most with stock fuel system.
New injectors, piggy back ECU, and new fuel pump. I don't know much about forced induction, but I know there are plenty of other members that know. Ask Gadget.

*sigh*
psig is only 1/2 of it.
8psig from a 130mm turbine is going to flow a ˟˟˟˟˟load more air than 8psig from a T67 (67mm) turbine.
However if you want more than a 40hp increase, youd be best served by doing the above [7th injector/larger injectors, piggy back, PYROMETER!!, boost gauge, intercooler/WMI, walboro fuel pump, FPR/FPU, and a TON of dyno tuning.

With a high flow fuel pump and an FMU you can get away with 7-8psi without any issues if you're running an intercooler. Get tuned though to be safe. I've ran on this sort of setup for a year without any problems before I upgraded. I wouldn't try more than 10psi on stock setup though.
