SAW/Downey/Bilstein combo rocks !
I hate to admit it but the combo of Sway-a-way Race runners up front and Bilstein/Downey in back is just about perfect so far. This means Schaefer is right dangit
The rear is waay better than stock, no bash/crash out of the rear and load capacity is up. I had 720lbs of cement in back recently and I got to test the super smooth Sonoran bump stops !
I also have an Addco front sway bar with Nuke extended discos which means body roll is still probably less than stock even with a 2" lift.
The truck just rides smoother than any of the other combo's I have tried. I think the SAW is an integrated unit that functions well.
The Bilstein/Cornfed combo was excellent but I just to me , the SAW just feels more like it could have been engineered by Toyota.
In summary, If you do nothing else, do the Bilsteins.

Dito calrockx, my parts are coming in this week, and I hope to be up 2.5" and run'n my 32s by Fri. ALl I'm waiting on is one more component. I wish I had had the free cash for the SAWs but a college budget wasn't going to let that happen, maybe I can switch out sometime further down the road(graduation present, hmm, nice option).

that's where i'm at too stump. all this college education stuff is putting a damper on my 4wheeling spending. oh well, i guess school will come in handy too.
but i'm keeping the stock tires for now. actually the tires that came with my 4runner are a little bigger than the average ones, but still i'm keeping them for now because they, and the runner, only have 7,000 miles on them so i might as use them while i can. but i'm looking foward to getting the stuff and getting in installed as soon as i can.

Well tires for me are a MUST HAVE. Mine are shot, and winter is coming(not like it's all that bad in NC anyways, but still, things happen) and I don't need to be cought w/ bald tires.
The lift goes one this weekend(with pictures to follow, 1st ones ever actually). My last parts come in on Fri.(BIG thanks to Ctapia, for the front coils) and then I'm going to set up an all day install w/ my man at Merchants. Calrockx make sure to psot some pics when your lift is in, I curious as to how yours will look w/ the same set-up, on a diff Runner style.
