question on part swapping (96 from a 99)
Hello, I proudly own a 96 4Runner LTD (211XXX miles and counting).
Moving on.
I was wondering since 99 seems to be the year Toyota changed things up i was wondering if i could put parts from a 99 on my 96?
I was wondering if i could take the headlights from a 99 and put them on my 96 (since they are more reflective)?
Also, HOOD SCOOP ENVY! Will a 99s hood fit on my 96?
THX

lol trucks fine w/o. i run 265/75 R16 will lil. rub only at full compression on the springs. My headlights are whacked. I mean all the hardware to support them is broke on i get to see a nice view of in front of me, not out. Thatll be an upgrade for when my Jeep runs. I work at an auto repair shop and have a parts account w/Toyota. Ill have to check into price on the headlamps w/hardware for a 99.

Just about everything will swap.. headlights,taillights,grills,center consoles,upper console(sunglass holder),bumpers,ect.
I have done grill(01-02),headlights(99+), taillights(01-02) center console(99+),upper console(99+) in my 97'.It's made a nice differance in looks and function......I do not want to change the center console HVAV controls to digital,I like the simplicity of manual cables,But others have done that as well.......
