All I did to paint mine was took the grill off, wire wheeled everything I could get to and roughed it up real good then sanded with 100grit all the little nookes and cranny's then 2 coats of krylon auto primer and then 3 coats of krylon fusion for plastic have had mine for 2 months and not one chip or scratch I even for a test tried scraping it with my fingernail and nothin the fusion bonds with the plastic its actually got a real nice finish to it also not flat but not too glossy either
