OME 891's - what kind of additional weigh?

So I have decided to go with the 3" OME coils from wabfab. But had a question:

It says the 891 coils are designed for additional weight. What could this weight be? Like an aftermarket bumper? I have subwoofers in the back (which are pretty heavy), so should I get 891s instead of 890s? I mean, they are the same price.

Also, I still have the oem shocks. Do i need to get different shocks to fit the 891s, or will they work just fine with my stock ones?

Plan on doing the 881s in the front (with spacers), and 890s in the back. What do you guys think?

They are talking about like 200+ lbs of gear like tools etc.
You will want longer shocks with the lift.

Thanks for the reply. I just went with the 890s instead. Dont have the money just yet for new shocks, and I dont need more weight capacity.

I had 890s. They flex better than the 891s. When carrying my wheeling gear and camping gear I was getting too much squat so I went up to the 891s. The 891s are only a touch taller when unloaded and still ride great even unloaded.

That was my reason for getting the 891s. More lift and higher weight capacity. 890s seem to do well for everybody though.

I actually have a daystar spacer kit laying in my garage I was about to put on, but now I am going to sell it to help pay for the OME one I just bought.

OME specs the 890 and 891 at the same amount of lift at stock, unloaded, weight.

true, but the 891 is stiffer, so less sag with the added weight, therefore more lift if I would add any excess weight in the rear.
