Budbuilt Crossmember Install...'84 Truck

I installed a Budbuilt high-clearance crossmember yesterday, and took a few pics of the adventure. Crossmember comes unpainted, so first thing was to clean, prime and topcoat. I used rattle can primer and gloss black topcoat.
After painting, it looked like this:

After installation:

Rock on...!

I saw the Budbuilt crossmember today as Jim stopped by my place.
It is sweet and is 'da beef.

It looks like it will do a great job at protecting it down under.

Jim's '84 is coming along very nicely.

Cebby, having driven Jim's truck there when it had the older gears in it makes me really want an older rig to fix up for trail use.

Now that he has the 4:88s in, it turns the 33s even better.

We are going to be heading out to Badland Bumpers sometime so Jim can scope out his sliderz and bumpers.

Smile

It was right at $230.00 shipped.
Not cheap, but a decent gain in ground clearance!
