2 questions:

1. What brake pads do y'all recommend with Brembo rotors?

2. Are slotted Brembos worth the extra price over Brembo blanks?

I'm sick of the braking wobble and ready to step up a rung from Orig. Equip.

1. Go with OEM pads, i use them and they are great

2. Go with the flats, from what ive read, slotted/cross drilled only matters if you are at the track

FWIW, the tundra brake upgrade is supposed to rawk

Brembos at all will be a great upgrade for you. If you are really wanting to have serious stopping power (eliminate possible rotor warpage), do the Tundra upgrade.....but it is not cheap.

I disagree. New calipers don't cost that much. If your putting new rotors and pads on anyway. This is a cheap mod for the increased performance you get.

Many will suggest you go with Performance Friction pads (Part# 4364, I bought mine at AutoZone). I went with the Brembo blanks and am very happy with them. This setup if a strong upgrade from OEM and will not break the bank.

I had Brembo rotor blanks from taylorautomotive (just over $100) and hp pads from Autozone ($45) installed yesterday - no more wobble! The shop took over 5 hours to remove the old parts and install the new parts. Luckily, I asked for a quote on the phone and verified this face to face at the shop before any work was performed, and was told it would be $60 for labor (1 hour). The guy didn't look it up to see what the procedure would involve before giving me that quote...when I picked up my ride, they told me the bill should have been over $300 for labor. I guess I can apply the amount I saved to another mod and not feel guilty!

I bought some drilled and slotted Brembos off Ebay a week ago, should be arriving very soon. I cannot wait to get rid of the wobble and squeak I get from my shotty stock rotors.

Slots get the gasses out from between the pads and the rotor which causes the pad to float, reducing breaking. Cross drilling helps with cooling.

Some places do the slots and drilling "In House" as

does. Is this a good thing or are there places that sell factory slotted and drilled?
