ahhhhh really messed up my bumper...tjm?
Ok - the idiot in front of me tired to pull a donut in his 97 4runner when we were both flying down the beach at 40 MPH - we were close to side by side -almost t-boned anyways- my bumper is messed up (my tacoma won though )
Basically instead of having a dealer charge 300 dollars for another chrome POS I am looking into getting a TJM T-17. my question is can I mount my lightforce 170s on this bumper - is it setup for lights or will I have to modify stuff?
thanks
also anyone with a quarterpanel/wheel arch for the front left side of a 97 tacoma please let me know!

So how does insurance work on this type of deal? Sounds like you guys were both messing around on the beach and he did something stupid. Is that considered off-road and does insurance handle it the same?

I'm not messing with insurance - it was his dads truck and his bumper was alot more messed up than mine-
I would guess that insurance would find someone at fault just like in a normal accident - it would probably be me because ultimaely its my responsibilty to avoid him - just like when youre skiing you are always responsible for the person in front of you.
anyways he was stupid - he came do a dead stop right in front of me without any warning he turned hard right, towards my side, trying to spin a donut and just came to a stop -it was a very dumb thing to do - it coulda been alot worse
fortunately I kinda like the new look

I'll probably just bang in the panel, paint over the chips ghetto-fab style and install my new TJM

Don't feel too bad I'm at the point where I have to take the other party to court. Stealer said $4300 without looking underneath. Hope I dont have to do it myself but it's really starting to bug me at this point. OPPOSING INSURANCE COMPANIES SUCK!!!Sorry for the loss GodwinAustin.

Well it's like they say I guess. Insurance companies always have you covered till you need their help. This girl pulled a U-turn right in front of me...I even have pics of her remnants in my lane and they are still denying it. I have like $7500 into mine (new motor/trans/lots of other stuff there is no way after winning in court (which I'll do) they will try to offer me another rig right now and total mine for prevailing market value (which they do regularly). Any way you look at it accidents are no fun man.
Hope you get it all straightened out easily for yours! Mine is fixable even if they don't ever pay...Looks like about 4 to 8 hours labor if I do it myself.

yeah no kidding - is yours driveable? mine seems ok -checked the radiator mounts etc....and it LOOKS ok. Heading up to portland today so I might have to break out the 200K minivan

200k minivan. hehehe OUCH!
Funny thing is it drives better than ever! had to bend the messed up piece of valance in behind, remove the bumper end cap and use a mallet to pound it away from the tire so I could handle normal suspension travel but with a brand new engine and tranny (plus more) there's no way I'm getting rid of it yet.
Talking to a lawyer tomorrow and hopefully he'll tell me I don't have to wait for the suit to fix it.
