2jz post?
Where is that post that has that guy doing the 2jz swap on his 2nd gen? Did it go well? I did a search and everything but i couldn't find a damn thing about it.

i was workin on it, still considering the supra swap but heavily leaning towards the 7m engine instead. its ALOT cheaper to pull off and you can run just as much HP
im 99% sure the 2j engine will go in just fine, anything can be done with proper funding and motivation

Man I would put a 7m but stupid california laws say you can't put an older engine in a newer car. Looks like I have to find someone crazy enough to put a 2jz in my ride. Thanks for the reply!

I did a 2JZGTE twin turbo swap in a 95 lexus GS300 earlier this year. By the time it was said and done, the kid hat roughly $8,000 into the swap.
I bet the cheapest you can get away with is around $7,000
Motor will run you around $5,000, then you have to do all the little nit picky stuff, like exhaust, wiring, cooling, intercooler, clutch, or if you are auto, tranny that will hold. Just lots of stuff.
7K would be really pushing it.
I have started on a 2JZ swap in my 89 pickup. I have all the parts ready to start tearing down the motor and building it up a little. I need to convert the bottem end to a turbo, since my donor motor is an N/A(old motor from GS300), and Iwill have around $5,000 into the motor by the time I am done, but that will include single turbo(greddy T-78), increased, fuel, and stand alone ECU. That is building a lot of stuff myself. Then I have to spend about 3K to build and Auto that will handle the power. When all said and done, I will have around 750RWHP.

There you go ... a 2JZ-GTE engine that's already doing about 700whp and best of all .... it was running in a 93 Toyota pickup
That's Dave @ SuperT Motorsports truck, which used to do about 530hp on a 22R engine. He also makes some super sexy turbo manifolds

Truck doesn't come with turbo or manifold.
Hmm, no oil sqiuters, wonder how long it would take to melt the pistons.
Wonder if the W58 actually held up to that power on pump gas.
Doesn't come with the truck or ECU it looks like. Pretty much just a stock motor without oil squiters, and bigger injectors. Doesn't quit seem worth it.
Oh, and I doubt he did 679 on pump gas, Very few people have done over 600hp on pump gas, and the motors are built to the max to do that.
