91 Truck

I'm new to this forum! So... Hello everyone!

This is my yota, she's a bit odd to look at but was fun to drive back in the day. She's been parked for roughly 3-4 years due to a blown head gasket. My Grandpa, before he passed away, owned this truck. He's one of the classic grease monkeys who was found at the track on every weekend and was a sponsored racer. He was always modding things in some way to make them have his personal touch on them.. With that said, the pictures will speak for themselves as to what his personal touch was on this one..

I am about to start working to get her running again but would like a few little "What would you do?" answers. I don't want a 4x4 like many on this site do with them. I'm not looking to have some super uber fast ass truck either. I just want something that's got enough power to have fun in when I want to.

are you planning on keeping the dually rear end? front end. did your grandpa convert that? I had never seen a dually short bed frame before..usually on a long wheelbase frame for motorhomes or u hauls

that wider lug pattern is gonna limit your wheel selection unless you go to somewhere and have some custom centers made

He converted it to work on this truck. Pretty sure he got it off the uhauls.

Yes I do intend to keep it like this. It was the last project he had started on before he passed away so I don't really want to remove what he did.

He had plans for some different motor.. If memory serves me it was something like a v6 chevy motor that he wanted to drop in it?

I will get a new bed, (this one has too much cancer) and have fenders added to it. For now all I'm worried about is the motor.

I've already noticed my wheel selection is very limited and going to require extensive search to find a set I like. I'm sure I will find someone who has "pimped" a uhaul and will see what styles of wheels they have. ha ha

Finally got around to working on the dually yota

This past weekend I did the following:
Full tuneup
changed batt wires
changed fuel filter
flushed fuel tank (and knocked rust loose with a chain)
changed starter

Now I'm in search of a fuel pump assembly. The one that is on the truck is rusted out and cracked. If anyone has a fuel pump assembly that will work on my 91 please let me know!

Some pics of the weekend, I only took a couple
