Pro Comp XTREME MT, any experience?

I'm close to pulling the trigger on the new Pro Comp Xtreme MT tires for my 4Runner. Has anyone tried these out yet or heard any reviews? It's between these and the MT MTZs or Kumho KL71(285s aren't available yet). I'm looking for a MT with good road manneres, but still capable offroad.

I don't have any personal experience, but I was judging a We-rock event this weekend and on one of the stock mod guys was running these and I was pretty impressed with them, especially since they were going against compitition tires like the Krawlers, Maxxis, and Pitbulls. Hope that helps.

I've found a pretty nice price on these at Offroad Toystore, so I may just go ahead and give them a shot.

The reviews I have read about the MT MTZ's has literally made my mind up for me if I go with a Mud tire next.

pro-comp is cooper, so you may be able to find the same or very similar tire cheaper under a different name

I think Procomp's are decent for offroad purposes. On road is a different story. You'll get no life from them and they are very noisey.

Did you run them on your Runner or something else? I've heard the ATs stunk, but nothing about the MTs yet.

I have the 33" Pro Comp AT tires (w/ 50,000 mile warranty) and so far they have performed great! Not to much noise, lots of traction, worked great for carrying heavy loads like my cab over camper. If it's true that they are coopers with a different name than that's great because coopers are awesome tires. I bought mine from here: http://www.4wheelparts.com/SCT13T157.aspx

They are procomp 7089's , but they rub a tiny bit with 33's. I just need to trim some plastic. They are 4wheelparts # http://www.4wheelparts.com/PDT64842.aspx make sure to call and tell them your truck application. I'm not sure what hub centric means, but you can use these 17's without spacers. They have free mounting and balancing and wheels ship for free package deal going on now. + 10% off wheels

I don't know much about the extreme mts but the original mt's kicked ass, quite on the road, crazy in the mud, and wore very very nicely.

Actually with the Pro Comp Xtreme M/T you will get some pretty good mileage out of them. They are pretty good on wet roads. I was really suprised how well they did in the snow here in Cleveland too. Mileage wise I have a customer with a Super Duty that has a little over 40,000 miles on them and he still has some tread, a little over a third, left. The biggest thing is that the more agressive the tire is the more frequently you have to rotate and balance the tire, balancing the key. I would recommend 3k - 4k mile intervals. If you want some pricing on the tires give me a call at the store
