$ 600.00 to spend on tires

ok i have 600 bucks to spend on new tires but i also need new rims im getting american racing black steelies, so that leaves about 400 bucks for tires, im looking in the 31x10.50x15 size . also id like this to be a MT tire or and aggresive AT tire. anything out there in my price range? anyone know anything about the brand federal?

BFG AT's (1 or 2) are around $130 each on tire rack for 31x10.50x15 so you could pull off 4 of those for under 400, but I dunno about shipping.

Think USED. Search Craigslist, here, TTORA, etc - usually there are lots of tires available in the smaller sizes as people go bigger.

I got the Nankang mudstars. They grip great in every terrain and they dont wear down fast. 33x12.5 are only about 120 bucks and 31 are like 100 bucks.

My freind has a set of the tires above and all i can say is I am very impressed with them off road. For $100 a tire, I think, they are well worth the money for offroad tires. Deep lugs, clean out great and hold the bead when aired down. Of course he has only had them 6-8 months and does not drive it daily so i can not comment on the wear on the tires, but they seem to do well on the road too so far.

I was impressed enough that I will buy a set for my next set of tires...

im either getting this
Couragia M/T

or this
MS351 All Terrain

ive had the ms351 AT before and it is a good tire but im kinda leaning toward the MT so if anyone has anymore experience with these tires like how they wear as a daily driver that would be great.

also thanks for everyone's reply's i didn't expect this many.

I've run federal ms 351, 31X10.5X15.
For the price it's a great tire. If I remember I got 45,000 miles out of them before I had to change. They like to sing on the freeway, but I like that.
Check tiresavings.com. pretty cheap for federal there.
