$ 600.00 to spend on tires
ok i have 600 bucks to spend on new tires but i also need new rims im getting american racing black steelies, so that leaves about 400 bucks for tires, im looking in the 31x10.50x15 size . also id like this to be a MT tire or and aggresive AT tire. anything out there in my price range? anyone know anything about the brand federal?

I got some bfg at 30x9.5 for around 100 per tire.
They do decent |
BFG AT's (1 or 2) are around $130 each on tire rack for 31x10.50x15 so you could pull off 4 of those for under 400, but I dunno about shipping.

I got the Nankang mudstars. They grip great in every terrain and they dont wear down fast. 33x12.5 are only about 120 bucks and 31 are like 100 bucks.
|
Check out Cooper Discoverer S/T...very aggressive all terrain
one of the best tires I have ever owned http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...oy/trip131.jpg |

My freind has a set of the tires above and all i can say is I am very impressed with them off road. For $100 a tire, I think, they are well worth the money for offroad tires. Deep lugs, clean out great and hold the bead when aired down. Of course he has only had them 6-8 months and does not drive it daily so i can not comment on the wear on the tires, but they seem to do well on the road too so far. I was impressed enough that I will buy a set for my next set of tires... |
Check out the General Grabber AT2 thread. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f123...pplers-146156/

im either getting this
Couragia M/T or this MS351 All Terrain ive had the ms351 AT before and it is a good tire but im kinda leaning toward the MT so if anyone has anymore experience with these tires like how they wear as a daily driver that would be great. also thanks for everyone's reply's i didn't expect this many. |
well i went out and priced tires today and i dont know where you guys are finding these 100 a tire tires i went to 3 places and they all quoted me at about 540 for 4 out the door. and two of the places were for tires i didnt want (street tires). are you guys all shopping online or what?
edit ok found 100 dollar tires online but shipping comes out to about the same as if i bought them local. |
ok thank you everyone who helped. i got my final qoute just now and i have decided this is the best i should be able to afford it in about 1 or 2 weeks. this is what im getting.
31x10.50x15 federal ms351 tires 15x8 6-5.5 allied type aw51 black Daytona R and matching black lug nuts BLING!!! final cost $802.14 BTW anyone know about the quality of this rim? all help is greatly appreciated. |
I've run federal ms 351, 31X10.5X15.
For the price it's a great tire. If I remember I got 45,000 miles out of them before I had to change. They like to sing on the freeway, but I like that. Check tiresavings.com. pretty cheap for federal there. |
