Did I get ripped?????

I just took my 99 2wd 4Runner ltd into the shop today for the 90,000 scheduled tune up, timing belt, and tires to the tune of $1,174.18 . Does that sound about right?? I haven't taken it in for that much work before and I almost had a heart attack...

Also, I ordered the Bilstein shocks for it as well. Once I get them put on, how much of a difference should it make? I was told that it should be 100% better. Anyone else had this luck?

Thanks

Hard to say on the pricing. Why the hell would you buy tires at the dealer? I guess you also bought the shocks at the dealer too? WHY????

Maybe someone with a similar vehicle can chime in on the pricing.

I got the tires for $424 mounted and balanced. I checked around and that was a good price for the size. And no, I did not get the Bilsteins from the dealer. I got those for $289 from eshocks.com.

I was just wondering if that sounded about right, and I guess it does.

Thanks

dear GOD.... Right or not, I don't think I'd ever spend that much money on maintenance.

That's not that bad...I spent $1600 on mine ('98 Taco). I'm pretty sure not all of that needed to be done, but it was at least partially my fault for failing to educate myself about maintenance beforehand. This was before I knew about Yotatech....

Anyway, $1100 sounds about right for dealer work. Personally, I'm not going to the dealer anymore.

Yotatech/dealers whatever they're all rips.... I got a quote for brakes... they wanted $130ea. just parts... OEM!! Total quote was over $400.
I paid $45 ea. online and installed them myself in about an hour. Next challenge is the timing belt...
