steering & Knuckle questions
Hey guys, i searched through here but didnt come up with anything answering THESE questions
1. Since finishing my SAS, my turning radius ABSOLUTELY BLOWS. My cousins super dodge has about the same turning radius and this is just killing my truck in the trails. I adjusted the stoppers on the front end so that the knuckle stops turning just short of stressing the dust covers and have somewhere between 1/2 & 3/4 of an inch left on the stopper threads. Did I do something wrong here? I cant find any info on this.
...and 2 - do knuckles themselves wear out? Is there some way for me to tell how much life is left on my knuckles? When I shimmed my TB Elim kit, i ended up using twice the millimeters worth of shims, and my turning has still never quite returned to center the way it used to, but ive gotten used to it. Anywho, thanks for the help guys, my swap is done now and the truck is wheelin better than ever...well, minus the steering

Got 30 spline axles? Stock birfs will limit your turning as they won't go near as far as 30 spline axles/birfs.
"and my turning has still never quite returned to center the way it used to"
What do you mean by that?

my trucks ability to return to center on its own after completing the turn. if i dont turn the wheel myself the truck will just keep on goin in the direction the wheels point - they dont return to center

Either that or you have the knuckle bearing pre-load too high or you have the pitman arm off center on the sector shaft:
