Trail Report--- Naches, 676, & Raven's Roost
Hey all,
Run the Naches Trail over the weekend, Stock 4runner made it fine... there are some changes to the trail the biggest being that the mud holes up by the Cabin have been filled in.
Well also run up to Raven's Roost, Stock 4runner did fine up untill the last climb. there were still a couple of spots of snow at the mid to upper plart of the last hill climb.
And the last run the we did this weekend was up the 676 trail. I made it up too the bolder feild with only minor problems. there where are coupke of tight spots and a couple of close calls, but other then a smashed tail pipe I came out with nothing more then some scratches.
All and all it was a good weekend. I will update this late in the week as to what condition where like above the bolder feild on 676 when the rest of my family comes home.
Mattthew :alien:
P.S. I would like to try and put together a long weekend run sometime in Auguest? please let me know ow many people would be interested.

Wow. I ran the eastern end of it this weekend as well and would have thought a stocker would have had some serious difficulties with the erosion on the ridgetop and with the boulder field on the East side of the ridge. Just in from the first FS 19 entrance, but before the second FS 19 entrance, there is a washed out section with some interesting off camber as well that I would think would be quite tricky with a stocker.
It's cool to hear otherwise 'though

It's only closed from Government Meadows to FS 70. If you don't mind driving around and entering from the East, you can play all the way up to Government Meadows. But, then you have to turn around and go back the same way.
The Western stretch reopens after the 15th.
The trail is in two different ranger jurisdictions and one closes it and the other does not.
