welded front drive shaft
I just bought a new rig . Now I want to kick you ever did the mods on this truck. I know I should of looked better but just had ankle surgery and wasn’t in the mood to go lay on the ground and check things out at the time. I also was trying to beat the mob of people coming to look at the truck. Well to get to the point they welded and bolted the front and rear drive shafts in. Actually any mod that was done the welder was involved. I just don’t understand what people think once in a while. why would you want to do anything like this? And why on my truck its hard enough for me to crawl under my rig to work on it but now I have to fix bad engineering

The jibe I got from his posts was that parts were welded on after they were already bolted on. In specific, if he breaks a driveshaft on the trail or on the road for that matter, now he's going to need to grind the driveshaft off instead of just removing the bolts.

I know that a weld is stronger than nuts and bolts but have you ever snapped all of the bolts in a drive line before breaking something else? I'm just a little pissed that everything is welded Front bumper has tac welds on the bolts, the seats are welded in. and so on.

I hope he took the flange off before welding. Might have melted the oil seal. Does it leak at all?
