So I recently did the Tundra/OME lift on my 2000 4runner. After I installed it i had excessive positive camber. I went to go get an alignment (lifetime) at Firestone. They only spent a little over a half hour on it, and when they were finished they said that the Camber was perfect the toe was good, but the caster could not be adjusted because in order to get the camber correct, they can not adjust the caster any better than it is....they said it was a result of the lift I installed. I questioned them for awhile, but they said there was nothing they could do....THe caster is way off from the recomended specs.

The drive is not good, it still pulls to the right, and since the caster is way off, it's really touchy and almost dangerous.... Are they feeding me a bunch of BS? I would think the caster and camber are two seperate adjustments???

Any help is appreciated. I can get the b4 and after specs if anyone is interested.

i think they are... i havent heard of this or read this in any other posts... i had my alignment done perfectly after 2.5-2.75 front lift (spacer, above strut)

I second that.

When i did the 4" lift on the 83, and when my brother did his lifts on his truck, we took the trucks down to a 4wheel drive shop that did alignments. They probably dont have the right equipment to check a lifted truck @ Firestone i know ours doesnt, and they are making excuses. Find your self a good 4X4 shop that does alignments i bet it turns out right.

me too!, i have a 2000 4 runner as well and mine is lifted 2.5" in the front with a set of sway away coil overs, "Bear Frame an Axle" here in denver had no issues at all aligning mine, it drives and wears tires just fine, i would try getting a second opinion from another alighnment shop?

Idiots that cannot do make excuses. Go find another tire shop and don't go back to where you went. I never had any alignment issues w/ my 00 at any lift height.

or get it closer into alignment yourself, then take it there, it may be too far out for them to know what they are doing, because they are idiots, but first take it to a different shop

yeah, dude, get a specialty truck shop to do the job. time for a second opinion.

i had firestone AND toyota do mine, and they can't get my front drivers side in to spec. they both blame the spacers. unfortunately, there are no off road shops really in mass that i know of except one, but they don't do allignments.

4wheel parts do good alignments?

looking at the wear on the stock size 265/70r16 on my runner, they arent alligned correctly. im assuming who ever did it last was also a moron or did not have the right equipment. is it really that hard?!

I have had the Tundra/OME lift on for awhile now and also have the Firestone lifetime aligment.

My truck drives like a dream. Aligment is perfect.
